Elements and Principles for Design

 

Description: Students had to find 12 pictures based on the 12 design elements for this assignment. Students had to pick a grade level and write definitions based on the grade level chosen. Students then presented this to the class and justified why they chose these photos. 

Extension: As an extension activity students could then have to pick one of the 12 elements and dive deeper into it. Students could then create their own images using the appropriate art materials. They could then present their creations in front of the whole class.

Footprint Intro

 Descriptions: This activity was an introduction. We were supposed to have three different media present. I used markers, crayons, and cardboard. I put part of a Dr.Pepper casing on my footprint. I also included a picture of my sister and her dogs. 

Extension Activity: To expand on this activity, I suggest making students make one based on their favorite book character. This could be a great way to get students more involved in reading. This can also help spark interest in different books.
